Chicago Sensor to begin marketing Madison Company optical level sensors

Chicago, IL, December 17, 2007: Chicago Sensor, Inc., a leader in the manufacture and distribution of liquid level sensors in the U. S. and internationally, has begun marketing Madison Company's line of optical single-point liquid level detection switches for use in non-coating liquids. These compact optical switches incorporate a phototransistor that provides a digital output indicating the presence or absence of liquid. The sensor tip houses the phototransistor in a form that provides highly reliable and repeatable performance in compact designs.

Housings are offered in both metal and plastic with various mounting configurations. The new switches offer a cost-effective solution to those level indication applications where high reliability, ease of installation and maintenance-free performance are desired. The sensors have no moving parts.

The optical sensors offered by Chicago Sensor are manufactured by Madison Company. Madison manufactures liquid level sensors in its ISO 9001 Certified factory in Branford, Connecticut and has been producing high quality level sensors since 1959. Chicago Sensor became a Madison distributor in 2005 and is one of Madison's leading distributors.

Chicago Sensor designs, manufactures and distributes liquid level sensors and switches for use in a wide variety of OEM applications. Chicago Sensor stocks large quantities of standard designs for common liquid level control applications and develops custom designs for unique applications. The Company is a leading distributor of Madison Company sensors and also manufactures switches and sensors under the Chicago Sensor brand name.
